Stacia D. Wright

SDW
Mic check, one, two! Stacia D. Wright first lit up the airwaves as a freshman at Oakwood University, commanding the morning and afternoon drive-time slots at 90.1 FM WOCG. Armed with a BA in Communications and an unstoppable spirit, she’s built an impressive career that spans film, radio, production, event management, and on-air talent—earning her reputation as a true one-woman powerhouse and emerging media mogul.
So what’s her secret sauce? “The common thread is connecting people,” Wright explains, “whether hosting, managing, producing, or interviewing.” And connect she does—with passion, precision, and a whole lot of heart.
In 2005, Wright founded B.Reel (B.Reel LLC Media Management) where she brings her love for production, event management, customer service, research, and creative consulting to life. With a gift for transforming visions into reality, Stacia expertly orchestrates every detail—from site visits and venue selection to securing talent, negotiating contracts, building media relationships, crafting marketing strategies, and bringing people together for unforgettable experiences across the nation.
Her impressive portfolio reads like a highlight reel of dream projects: Brian Culbertson’s beloved Jazz Getaways in Napa Valley, Chicago, New Orleans, and Hawaii (for over a decade!); the North Alabama United Negro College Fund (UNCF) Gala hosted by Oakwood University in Huntsville, Alabama; Washington Adventist University’s joyful 3-day graduation commencement celebration; and the US Dream Academy Gala, where she helped raise an impressive 1.9 million dollars in a single evening. She’s collaborated with an incredible roster of talent—from inspiring speakers like Governor General of Jamaica Sir Patrick Allen and Devon Franklin (former Senior Vice President of Production at Columbia Pictures) to multi-Grammy Award-winning and nominated artists including Take 6, Lalah Hathaway, CeCe Peniston, Jonathan Butler, Oleta Adams, and many more.
Among her proudest achievements? Conceptualizing and co-founding the Sonscreen Film Festival from the ground up—a labor of love she nurtured as senior producer for eight years and which continues to flourish today. A seasoned leader with serious mentoring chops, Wright also served as Executive Director of the Adventist Event Planners Association (AEPA) for two consecutive terms.
A natural storyteller, Stacia returned to her radio roots as host and producer of “The Stacia D. Wright Show – THE DRIVE” on Stellar Award-nominated internet station BRITEradio.org. As a sought-after host and on-camera talent, she moderates panels, hosts live events, and appears in commercial and corporate videos. And yes, she’s also the creative mind behind the hit viral potty training video “Ginneh’s Potty Song,” starring her daughter Ginneh—because even media moguls keep it real!
When the COVID-19 pandemic reshaped the event and entertainment landscape in 2020, Wright adapted with grace and resilience, pivoting her skill set and expanding into the federal government sector where she provides contract program and project management support.
What truly sets Stacia apart is her talent for building meaningful projects while tapping into her rich network of national and international connections—all delivered with authenticity and care.
A proud graduate of Oakwood University, Stacia is humbled by the recognition she’s received for her dedication to her clients and community. She makes her home in the Washington DC metropolitan area, where she embraces her most cherished role of all—being mom to two beautiful children.
